(01) A Centralized PHP Web based Pawning System for Union Bank of Colombo Limited

This program was developed to handling Pawning Items .It's uses web based centralized database and all the parametric details that have been set by the System Administrator. Solution will be a browser base system to be run on the intranet for handling Pawning Items. It has three different user levels, such as Administrator, Teller, Manager, and Auditor. Each and every transaction is dual authorized according to the teller limits when issuing of pawning tickets, settlements and redemptions. All the transaction performed by Teller & Manager will be traced according to the IP address.

Also proposed system divided into two major components.

• User interface – Developed using PHP.
• Back end – MYSQL.
• Environment – Mandrake Linux 10.0

• Preparation of the Table layouts.
• Preparation of the Technical Specifications.
• Adhoc Reports, such as Daily Reports, Management Reports, Audit Reports.
• Coding of the above program.

Treasury Profitability on Domestic Banking Unit for Union Bank of Colombo Limited (DBU).

This program was developed to measure treasury profitability on domestic banking unit before the day end process. All the the transaction will be traced according to the general ledger numbers and at the end of the day it uses to measure profitability in sri Lankan rupees. Solution will be a browser base system to be run on the intranet for Auditors.

Also proposed system divided into two major components.

• Back end – DB2 on AS400.

• Preparation of the Table layouts.
• Preparation of the Technical Specifications & Coding of the above program.

Treasury Profitability on Foreign Currency Banking Unit for Union Bank of Colombo Limited (FCBU).

This program was developed to measure treasury profitability on foreign currency banking unit before the day end process. All the the foreign currency transaction will be traced according to the general ledger numbers and at the end of the day it uses to measure profitability in USD.

Solution will be a browser base system to be run on the intranet for Auditors.

Also proposed system divided into two major components.

• User interface – Developed using PHP.
• Back end – DB2 on AS400.

• Discussed the user requirement in detail.
• Analyzed the current system (a manual system) in detail.
• Design of the proposed system.
• Preparation of the Table layouts.
• Preparation of the Technical Specifications.
• Coding of the above programs .
